Edit & Organize, Edit & Organize

As you probably already know (if you know me at all), I’m deep into editing & organizing this time of year. January and even deep into February are big declutter & reorganizing months for my own home.

I’ll do a smaller declutter/organizing “go at it” in late summer/early fall. One big “go through” in the first month or two of each year then a smaller “go through” mid-year.

Of course, I’m constantly editing & reorganizing in the days, weeks & months in-between. This keeps “things” from getting out of hand and makes those big, twice a year editing & organizing projects so much faster & easier.

Great Gift Ideas For The Guys

We’ve all been “guilty” of buying the obligatory gift for the guys in our lives. You get it. You Know! PJs, ties, slippers, socks (although I DO love a nice pair of monogrammed dress socks), undershirts, etc., etc.

Faux Or Real

For many years I had a real aversion to faux trees, plants, florals. I always advised clients to use real, live plants or nothing at all. I was always more concerned about all of the dust the faux plants collected and how dead & flat a faux plant seemed to always make a room feel. I always strongly suggested both my staging and my design clients get rid of ALL faux plants. ALL. OF. THEM.

Not All eDesign is the same

I can’t speak for all eDesigners but I do know there are many differences in SO many things about eDesign.

From process to cost, there are differences. I suggest that anyone looking into eDesign look at options and find the eDesigner that meets their needs best. eDesign should save the client time & money. eDesign should help the client find their style and lead them to the outcome that fits them best (not a one size fits all design).

Getting A Home Ready For The Real Estate Market

We’ve all heard the word Staging and seen the many HGTV & Netflix shows about how important Staging a home before putting it on the market is. Many have probably also heard from their real estate agents that they can tell them how to stage their home themselves or that the Realtor can stage their house if they just allow them to list it. BEWARE! Not all Stagings are the same.
